Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 February 2026. This is a demonstration project; the text below describes the practices such a community platform would follow.

What we collect

Account details you give us — name, email address, and anything you choose to add to your public profile such as a biography, location, or gear list.

Content you publish, including image files and the metadata embedded in them, along with captions, collection names, and challenge submissions.

Basic technical data: device type, browser, approximate region, and aggregated page views used to keep the platform fast and stable.

Why we use it

To operate your account, display your work with correct attribution, run the monthly challenges, and send the small number of emails membership requires.

To protect the community — detecting duplicate accounts, image theft, and abusive behaviour reported to moderators.

What we never do

We do not sell personal data. We do not licence your photographs to third parties. We do not use your images to train machine learning models, and we do not permit others to scrape them for that purpose.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your light or dark mode preference. Analytics are aggregated and contain no advertising identifiers.

Retention

Published work and profile data are kept while your account is open. Deleting your account removes your profile and frames from the platform, including from collections they appeared in, within thirty days.

Your rights

You may request a copy of your data, correct it, export your published frames, or delete your account entirely at any time from your account settings.

Where applicable law grants further rights — objection, restriction, or portability — those apply in full.

Changes to this policy

Material changes are announced on the platform at least fourteen days before they take effect, and the updated date above always reflects the current version.
