Question 1

Does it cost anything to join?

Accepted Answer

No. Membership is free while Frames and Moments is in its first season, and publishing your work will always be free.

Question 2

Do I need to be a professional photographer?

Accepted Answer

No. Editors look at pictures, not CVs. A number of the photographers in our collections shoot entirely outside of client work.

Question 3

Are there follower counts?

Accepted Answer

Profiles show what someone has published and what they have collected. They do not show follower numbers, and frames do not display like counts publicly.

Question 4

How does work get featured?

Accepted Answer

Every submission is seen by an editor. Selected frames appear in Discover, and stronger sequences are held back for a monthly collection.

Question 5

How long does review take?

Accepted Answer

Usually under a week. We would rather look properly and be slow than clear a queue.

Question 6

Can I remove work later?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at any time. Removing a frame also removes it from any collection it appeared in.

Question 7

Who owns the copyright?

Accepted Answer

You do, entirely. Publishing here grants us a limited licence to display your work on the platform and, with your consent, in editorial features about it.

Question 8

Are images watermarked?

Accepted Answer

No. We display your files as you exported them, and we never crop, overlay, or re-compress beyond what responsive delivery requires.

Question 9

How do challenges work?

Accepted Answer

A brief opens on the first of each month with a real constraint. You have two weeks to shoot and one to edit. Shortlisted frames are credited in the monthly collection.

Question 10

Is there a prize?

Accepted Answer

Publication, and a written note from the judge on the shortlisted frames. That is deliberately the whole of it.
